MUST SEE FILMS
Don't go see a blockbuster this summer, see these two incredible independent films instead.
You will not regret it.

DAVID BYRNE IS COOL BUT SHARON JONES IS POSSIBLY COOLER
Sorry for the absence, life has been busy....
So to catch up, got to attend Dark Was the Night concert at Radio City Music Hall last weekend thanks to well connected friend (mahalo gm!)
I can finally say I saw David Byrne live. But (!), not only did i get to see him, I also got to see Feist, Bon Iver, Dave Sitek (from TV on the Radio), The National, Dirty projectors, My Brightest Diamond and, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings all on one stage.
Highlights were obviously David Byrne, Feist, Bon Iver but i have to say, Sharon Jones stole the show. For the last song, everyone came out on stage to sing This Land is Your Land in honor of Pete Seeger's birthday. It was slightly awkward and mediocre at best, then out struts a sassy Sharon Jones onto the stage halting the already dwindling sing-a-long and says, "i love that version (insert "you've got to be kidding" look to audience here), dap kings, let's show 'um our version". White indie rock kids got schooled! And the best part is, someone captured it all on video!
